Water shapes our community
Water is the most significant natural feature of River Ranch. Over 450,000 cubic yards of soil were moved to restore watercourses and wetlands affected by 80 years of grazing and flood irrigation. The result: year-round streams and over 1,306,000 square feet of lakes that preserve the community’s natural, park-like setting.
Nearly every designated homesite is situated on one of the 4.5 to 8.5 acre lakes, on the river front, or includes a river view. River Ranch’s abundant water supply will provide homeowners with ample water to maintain their own residential landscaping. The development’s water rights are augmented by an on-site well that produces 120 million gallons per year at close to 1 cubic feet per second and a recirculation system that moves over 7,000,000 gallons of water per day.
